Built in 1938, The Romans has undergone many changes over the years to create a warm friendly atmosphere. 

We have a roaring log fire in our snug area, leading on to comfortable seating in our main bar area. On the other side, our sports bar has two pool tables, darts board and three TVs to watch all the main sporting events that are shown via Sky Sports and BT Sports, with lots of seating available.

We serve a great selection of draught products, real ales and an extensive array of speciality gins.
Our large beer garden is a suntrap with lots of garden benches and a perfect place for a chilled beer in the Summer.

Coming into this series, the visitors had only won two of their last 10 Test Series, with their last coming in December 2024 when they beat England 2-1 after losing the First Test. Martin Zubimendi opened the scoring in the 42nd minute before a second-half brace from Viktor Gyokeres sealed the three points for Mikel Arteta's side. Sunderland fared better in the meeting at this venue last season though, as Brian Brobbey scored a 94th-minute equaliser to earn the Black Cats a 2-2 draw.

Formula One returns to the Spanish capital for the first time in more than 45 years, with the new 5.4km, 22-corner circuit making its championship debut. The track combines public roads with permanent sections and features the spectacular banked Monumental corner, while home favourites Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz will be hoping to make history in front of the Spanish crowd. With Madring hosting its first-ever Grand Prix, the winner will have the honour of becoming the circuit's inaugural Formula One victor.
